In 2009 the worldwide economic crisis severely impacted our sales for both upholstery and mass transportation fabrics.

To absorb this economic upheaval our company went under protection of Chapter 11 on March 12th 2009.

After being restructured MUGUET kept its development and weaving operations in its premises in Charlieu, France, exhibiting at the major professional fairs for both market segments and improving business in Europe, North America and Asia.

We thank all our customers and suppliers who remained faithful to us and kept their confidence to MUGUET during this tough time.

MUGUET exit Chapter 11 on March 10th 2010 through the judgement of the Trade Court of Lyon which validated the continuation plan of our operations.

In 2011 MUGUET innovates in mass transportation by patenting an invention MUGARTEX® for a non-metallic cut-proof textile solution which meets the highest mechanical requirements. On the decorative market innovation and creativity remain our top priority to meet customers’ expectations and to fit the latest market trends.

In 2010 our new business model allowed us to achieve a 4% profitability versus turnover.

Since November 2010 we have measured a 30 % increase of our sales rewarding the hard work performed by all our staff to meet our customers’ requirements in the best possible way.

MUGUET will introduce its new upholstery collection during PROPOSTE Como in May 2011 in the central rotunda (Padiglione Centrale 93) and will present new textile developments at BUSWORLD Kortrijk in October 2011. Both our customers and suppliers will be warmly welcomed there and then.
